Lately, the crypto world has suffered some changes with cryptocurrencies free-falling from over a month now. Is this the very moment in which investors would quit the crypto space? Before answering that, let’s take a moment and think about the effects of this downfall for creators. With a lower value of crypto coins, people would be more inclined to purchase non-fungible tokens now, than before. Why? Because their crypto value stays the same, while their real money equivalent is lower.
This can be a good thing for both investors and artists, even that it might not look like it. Let’s do the math! If the current value of 1 ETH is around 1,000$ at the moment, it is more affordable for the people who are interested in purchasing NFTs to do it now than before, when this value was around 3,000$. Basically, with the same amount of money, investors could buy three times more artworks. This means more artists will have their work sold, and even more will make their work known among buyers.
Having the market so unstable right now, the artists who are already invested in minting NFTs will be the ones who lay the foundation for further exploration of digital art. And what better feeling can you get than being one of the first creators who would later get the credit for believing in art development on the crypto space? On that note, today I am gonna talk about Răzvan Flore, an amazing artist whose work is dominated by an abstract tone and oddly shaped figures.
Who is Răzvan Flore?
As a novelty of our Discovering series, Răzvan is a Romanian motion designer who mostly creates 3D digital illustrations that catch our eye at first sight. The main characters of his artworks are bots, so we return to the world of androids, but with a brand new vision. Pictured in different poses, the humanoids are creating together common elements that you might not get at first. Think about pills, grass, DNA strands, all structures composed by tiny human-like figures. It’s pretty hard to imagine, right? This is exactly why you’ll discover it with me in the following.
As an additional detail of Răzvan Flore’s work, the parallel between real world and imaginary land is made by the concept behind every illustration. More specifically, each image represents an original idea easily put into place by the creator himself, portraying real-life situation through imaginary robots. No more words needed on this, let’s see some of them!
NFTs and more
Răzvan Flore is a pretty complex artist who didn’t actually centered his work around non-fungible tokens. With over ten years of experience in video production, video-mapping and animation he saw the opportunity of creating elaborated designs and took it. This is why we now get to see these detailed artworks and find ourselves eager to know more. Have a look!
#2 of Digital Renaissance Statues series
by Razvan Flore
Each one of us is constantly having his own battles that no one knows about. But in order to develop and conquer your fears you must first fight them. Killing your inner demons is the main step you need to take in order to become a better self. Remember me saying that the link between reality and imagination is in fact the concept behind any illustration? This is actually one of the solid examples.
The demon in this artwork is actually the fear we all have. Whether we feel it as a mental illness, a phobia, a problem or a significant event we can’t get past. But, to be able to move on with our lives it takes a lot of courage. And, of course, taking the high road is never the easiest solution but it is the one that helps us succeed. It is not a “demon” as the real meaning of it, but it is the negative part inside us that keeps us from moving forward. The fight itself is an abstract portrayal of the conquer we all hope for. Even the contrast between the fiery figure and the light blue human one is underlining the difference between good and bad, the part that’s been keeping us still and the best self we can become.

The surreal kind of art always gives you more than meets the eye. Just look at this 3D crypto art, originally designed as an animation, which has a deeper story than just some beautiful blue shades. On the one hand, think about its title. Sugar rush is basically a state in which an individual experiences high energy after eating or drinking a considerable amount of sugar in a short period of time. It is believed that sweets contain a lot of sugar which can harm your body in the most damaging ways. On the other hand, if the body is constantly fueled by high quantities of sugar, it can lead to deadly disease. So, the donut crushing tiny people could actually be considered as an awareness of the high risks we’re taking everyday without us even knowing.
This is obviously a personal interpretation of this artwork, but I might be even closer to the real idea behind it than it looks. On a deeper note, it is possible that the bots caught in the frosting as sprinkles, crushing other bots can underline the concept of humans creating products that can kill others just for their own gain. Do you see it too? I urge you to access the link behind it in order to see the original version of this animation because it’s absolutely stunning and it’s better to see it for yourself than to hear about it.
Imma share a little secret with you now. Maybe you won’t see this as common as you think but there’s a special collection of NFTs ready to be discovered. I don’t actually know how much this series would be promoted but I find it very bold and naughty and I really love the courage of showing it!
as no 6 of the “Cursed Words” Collection
by Razvan Flore
Originally described by its creator as ‘A series of curse(d) words that we’re not allowed to say, but we all say them‘, this series shows the part of us that most of us never speak of. How many times did we not find ourselves using them? Let’s be honest for a moment! Even if we know their connotation is a negative one, we all say them even if we are not supposed to.
So, this collection is pushing all the boundaries instated by the society we live in, compelling us to be truthful to ourselves and admitting that even if we know they’re bad, we really love bad. To be the one to tell it like it is takes a lot of courage. And before launching them into the world, you must be able to own it. So, yeah, instead of hiding behind pretty words that we don’t mean, we could just say the naked truth. If you are ready to own the dark side of you, this collection is still available on OpenSea and it has a lot of naughty NFTs to offer.
And, of course, if you think you’re ready to step into the unknown I can help a bit! Here are the official channels where you can find Răzvan’s artworks so make sure to be the first to get your hands on them!
